ABOUT SPIRITUALISM

Spiritualism has been called a religion of conviction, not conversion.

Many discovering Spiritualism feel they have come home. Students learn the Science, Philosophy, and Religion of Modern Spiritualism. Spiritualism proves the continuity of life—that life continues after so-called death. Through its religion, Spiritualism follows Natural Law, the law of God (Infinite Intelligence).

The Religion

Mental, and spiritual laws of nature, which are the laws of God

Spiritualism is a religion because it strives to understand and comply with physical, mental, and spiritual laws of nature, which are the laws of God. Spiritualism is a natural religion because it raises the consciousness of humankind, creating and encouraging each person’s growth. It places the responsibility for our actions on us.

In other words, Spiritualism supports a life that is aligned with Natural Law, the orderly, progressive, evolutionary process bestowed by Infinite Intelligence, which is evident in every aspect of nature and life, including the seen and unseen. Spiritualism is a religion of happiness and peace within.

The Philosophy

As a philosophy, Spiritualism studies the laws of nature both on the seen and unseen sides of life.

It is based on facts observed at the present time. Conclusions are drawn from reason along with consideration of facts observed through the ages.

More broadly defined, philosophy is recognized as the knowledge capable of explaining all things through their ultimate causes. This knowledge then becomes part of the larger scope of philosophic thought that includes cause and effect, powers and laws, and systems and theories.

The Science

Spiritualism is considered a science because it investigates, analyzes, and classifies facts and manifestations demonstrated from the Spirit side of life.

Spiritualism studies the entire universe, seen and unseen. Current science has limited itself to the physical universe and its phenomena. Science’s main purpose is threefold:

  • 1

Pursuing knowledge for its own sake.

  • 2

Expanding our awareness and increasing our ability to observe Natural Laws.

  • 3

Providing the basis for technological growth.
